This tutorial was written for Paint
Shop Pro 7
and 9
Although Paint Shop Pro has it's own auto red eye removal tool, I have found
this to be quite difficult to use and the results never seemed to look very
good.
So I have devised my own way of removing red eye that is simple, quick and looks
natural.
Open the photo you want to work on and using the magnifying tool, zoom in approx
10 times keeping your magnifying tool placed on the eye
Take your lasso tool and using the point to point setting/feather 0 draw
carefully round the red part of the eye (see pic)
Go to Colors|colorize (PSP
7) Adjust|Hue and saturation|colorize (PSP 9) and set the hue and saturation to
0, click ok
Keep selected!
Now click on Colors|adjust|brightness/contrast (PSP 7) Adjust|brightness and
contrast (PSP 9) and set brightness to -20 and contrast to 10, click ok
Selections|select none
Repeat for other eye
Now save your photo!
See the result:
